About the ECA
The Electrical Contractors Association, representing the best in electrical engineering and building services. ECA has been a driving force in the electrotechnical and engineering services industry since the Association's formation in 1901. Over the years, ECA has been pivotal in improving industry standards and creating a sustainable business environment. Many organisations engage with ECA on an ongoing basis, often as part of our member and associate programmes.
The ECA represents companies who design and install electrical and electronic services and equipment. At present, there are approaching 3000 ECA member-businesses, who collectively have a combined industry turnover in excess of £6 billion annually.
ECA member firms also have representation on Standing Committees, which have the ability to contribute towards ECA policy on areas such as technical, skills, health and safety and employment.
The ECA’s democratic nature means that every member-firm has a stake in the trade association, and in fact the organisation is 100 per cent owned by members.
ECA member-companies are certificated by the ECA or by ‘approved’ industry certification bodies before membership is approved. As a result, clients can be assured that ECA members deliver the highest calibre of work possible.
PFS Group have been members of the ECA since March 2009 and regularly attend the meetings held by ECA which promote forward thinking in the electrical industry.
